Mrs. Sugar's Art Class
Art is so much more than color, paint, scissors and glue! Art is an appreciation of the beauty in the world around us. It is my belief that everyone can and should enjoy Art Class. I give the students the guidance they need to successfully complete projects in his or her grade level. Understanding colors and shapes forms the basis of our learning. Learning to control the glue bottle is a major accomplishment! Following directions is as important as ever. While there is always room for creativity, following directions guarantees success. My Art Room serves as an extension of the classroom. I work with teachers in developing projects to correlate with classroom studies. We have built life size mummies when studying Egypt. We work on projects for specific holidays, service projects in the community as well as the beautification of our school.
