Visual Arts Program

From Pre-K through 6th grade, Trinity students participate in a vibrant and enriching Visual Arts program that aligns with grade-level standards and nurtures the whole child. Our curriculum encourages creativity, self-expression, and individuality while also developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and visual literacy.

Students are invited to explore a wide variety of materials and techniques, deepening their appreciation for the arts and building confidence in their unique abilities. Participation in art not only supports academic growth but also fosters emotional well-being and a greater appreciation for beauty and cultural diversity.

Trinity students proudly showcase their work in a range of local and regional programs, including the annual Oswego State University Hometown Project. Selected pieces are featured on banners displayed throughout the city, and our students consistently receive recognition for their work in exhibitions such as the Tyler Art Gallery at SUNY Oswego.

Performing Arts Program

At Trinity, the performing arts are a joyful way for students to discover their God-given talents while building confidence, discipline, and a spirit of collaboration. From Pre-K through 6th grade, every child is invited to explore music, drama, and creative expression in a nurturing, faith-filled environment.

Choir

Children lift their voices in praise during weekly rehearsals that cultivate healthy vocal technique and music-reading skills.
A Christmas and Spring Concert invite families to celebrate students’ progress while deepening the liturgical life of our school.

Band & Orchestra

Beginning in 4th grade, students may choose wind, brass, percussion, or string instruments.
Small-group lessons and full-ensemble rehearsals teach perseverance, listening skills, and the joy of making music together.
Public performances throughout the year strengthen stage presence and goal-setting.

Drama & Theatre Arts

A full-scale musical each spring gives every interested student a place on stage or behind the scenes.
Monthly workshops focus on core theatrical skills: improvisation, memorization, character development, set and costume design, puppetry, and more, fostering creativity and teamwork.
Students learn to communicate clearly, empathize with diverse characters, and channel nervous energy into positive presentation skills.

Why It Matters

Participation in the performing arts enhances academic achievement, supports emotional well-being, and reinforces Catholic values such as stewardship of gifts, respect for others, and joyful service. Whether a child is singing a hymn, mastering a new scale, or bringing a story to life on stage, each experience helps them grow as articulate, confident, and compassionate leaders.
